Vienna - Linz
On our first day on the road, we leave Vienna and set off to cross the mystic Wienerwald, an enchanted forest on our way to the World Heritage site of Wachau. After lunch in Weissenkirchen, we'll ride along the Danube, the second biggest river in Europe, and through the spectacular region of Waldviertel, heading west to our destination for the day, Linz, the capital city of upper Austria.
Linz - Salzburg
In the morning, we will cross the border and enter the Czech Republic, heading to Cesky Krumlov, a medieval gem of a town, in the picturesque national park of Sumava. Returning then to Austrian roads, we'll ride along the German borderline to have lunch in Schärding. Our destination for the night is Salzburg, Mozart's celebrated hometown, and to get there we'll enjoy a fantastic ride through various spectacular lakes and winding roads. Salzburg is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and probably one of the most charming cities in Europe.
Salzburg - Gerlos
The day will start with a relaxed city walk in old Salzburg. The city center and the castle are perfect examples of the medieval baroque style in its maximum splendor. Once we are back on the saddles, we'll cross the border to Germany and ride along the Roßfeldstrasse, heading south to reenter Austria and a stop in Kitzbühel. The final stretch of this day will lead us through the Gerlos Hochalpenstraße, passing by the famous waterfalls in Krimml and arriving in Gerlos, a province of Tyrol that is well known for its winter sports.
Gerlos - Sankt Anton am Arlberg
After our morning briefing, we will set off to Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol, surrounded by majestic mountains, and a short city walk. Next comes a ride on a fantastic mountain road to Kühtai, a ski resort at more than 2000m high offering impressive views when the skies are clear. In the afternoon, we will follow on to our classy final stop of the day, Sankt Anton am Arlberg, via Hahntennjoch, Schoppernau, and Fontanella. Sankt Anton is another ski resort offering some incredible 305km of marked ski runs and 88 cable cars.
Sankt Anton am Arlberg - Bozen
Another great day to explore the high alpine roads leading to Switzerland and St Moritz, famous for its jet-set lifestyle. On our way to South Tyrol afterward, we will pass through Umbrailpass and the notorious Stilfserjoch pass, with its 87 curves to keep us excited. A more relaxed ride follows next, and we will be already in northern Italy, headed to Bozen (Bolzano), where a traditional Italian dinner will be our reward after a day of intense emotions!
Bozen - Lienz
The high-intensity pace continues today, as we travel through the Nigerpass, Passo Fedaia, Passo Cereda, Passo Duran, Passo Giau and the Stallersattel, six different mountain passes, all of them extremely challenging and incredibly fun to ride. We'll keep on touring to Cortina D'Ampezzo, then through the Hohe Tauern National Park, to end the day in Lienz, another charming medieval town in the Austrian East Tyrol.
Lienz - Murau
Our day starts with one of the jewels of this tour, a ride on Austria's highest peak, the Grossglockner. This well-known high altitude Alpine road is considered one of the best motorcycle roads in the world. Coming down on the other side of the peak, where the weather can sometimes change completely, we'll move on to Zell am See, a cozy village by a stunningly beautiful lake. After a short stop at the timeless village of Hallstatt, we will continue via the Altaussee and Sölkpass to Murau in Styria for our night stop. Murau is a brewing town, and its famous beer is a tradition that dates back to the 15th century. We will make sure a toast is in order!
Murau - Vienna
Our last day on the road will take us first to Lachtal and idyllic Pogusch, and then to Austria's famous meeting point for motorcyclists, the Kalte Kuchl, home of the Topfenstrudel, a local pastry that will warm up our hearts! In the afternoon, we'll make a short stop in Heiligenkreuz on our way back to Wien, where a perfect evening and a farewell dinner wait for us. It is time to remember the adventures of this magical tour and celebrate days of wonder and joy on roads and places we will never be able to forget.
