MILANO - BORMIO
Reception of the participants at HertzRide location and tour presentation. We will head towards Lake Como passing through the homonymous city known for its Gothic-style Cathedral and elegant villas. Proceed along the lake until we reach the charming town of Bellagio nestled on a promontory overlooking the lake, known for its paved streets, elegant buildings and the Park of Villa Serbelloni, an 18th-century garden terrace overlooking the lake. After a break we will take the ferry that will take us to Varenna, on the other bank where we will continue our journey through the Valtellina and the Aprica Pass until we reach Bormio, a famous tourist resort, known for winter sports and for its baths, mentioned since the time of the ancient Romans.
BORMIO - GARMISH
Starting from Bormio we will head to Livigno, a mountain village at 1,800 m. second among the highest in Italy. Livigno is known for being a duty free municipality and has developed over the years a thriving economy linked to services for tourism and to the numerous shops that make shopping enthusiasts happy. After a stop and the refueling of our bikes (here the petrol has a very convenient price) we will leave again towards Passo dello Stelvio which with its winding path will lead us to admire a majestic landscape and meet hundreds of motorcyclists who decide to cross it every year .
We will continue our journey along Val Venosta through Glorenza, an ancient small town famous for its walls until we reach and along the Lake Resia where we will stop to admire the unusual view that includes the tip of the semi submerged bell tower of Curon. Little later we will enter Austria, continuing northwards through a gentle green valley that will lead us to the Fern Pass and shortly afterwards to cross the border entering Germany to reach Garmish Partenchirchen after a few kilometers.
GARMISH EXPOSITION - GARMISH EXPOSITION
Every year, about 40,000 motorcycle enthusiasts meet at the foot of Germany's highest mountain to experience new BMW Motorrad bikes, see a variety of attractions, including breath-taking stunt shows and heart-stopping dare-devil performances in the motodrom. Celebrities are also drawn Garmisch-Partenkirchen where actors, singer and pro motorcyclists as well as well-known riders from the community all mingle with the visitors, enjoyng the international athmosphere and listening the live music.
GARMISH P. - CORTINA D'AMPEZZO
The fifth day will lead us to cross mainly the Austrian territory along wide valleys that will offer the view of pastures and landscapes different from those seen in the previous days until we reach the glacier of Grossglockner climbing a beautiful panoramic road surrounded by hundreds of marmots that live the slopes of the mountain. A short stop and then it's time to go back into the saddle to head towards the final stage of the day, Cortina d'Ampezzo, called the pearl of the Dolomites because surrounded by an amphitheater of mountains of irresistible beauty. Cortina is also famous for being considered a resort frequented by VIPs capable of offering the best of shops, hotels and gastronomic services.
CORTINA D'AMPEZZO - MERANO
From Cortina d'Ampezzo to Merano through the heart of the dolomites passing the group of the Sella mountain massifs through its most famous passes; Falzarego Pass from which it is possible to admire a view of the valley where Cortina is set, Campolongo and Pordoi Passes that will take us to Valgardena and head to Bressanone, a town founded in 901 D.C.. historical, artistic, cultural and economic capital of the Isarco Valley district. We are in Italy but the language mainly spoken is German. From Bressanone, through the pristine Val Sarentina we reach Merano, a picturesque town located at the start of four important valleys: Val Venosta, Val Passiria, Val d'Adige and Val d'Ultimo.
Merano - Milano
On the last day we will descend to the plains crossing the Adamello natural park with a break in Madonna di Campiglio, a tourist resort of the Brenta Dolomites to Riva del Garda, overlooking the lake of the same name and popular spot for those who practice windsurfing and MAG headquarters, (Museo Alto Garda) which exhibits exhibitions of history and archeology and houses the art gallery, with works from the 15th to the 19th century. Starting again we will skirt the western side of the lake, which offers striking views along its shore. At the end of the lake we will take the motorway to easily return to Milan.
